Early Readers Read Aloud
Children in 1st & 2nd grade are invited to attend two read aloud times at the library. Saturday November 20th & December 18th at 2 pm. The children’s librarian will read aloud a few book choices; children may also take turns read aloud if they’d like.
Little Guy Big Guy Bird Feeder Building
All boys are invited to bring their dads to lend a hand in building their very own bird feeder to bring home. Winter is coming & the birds in your yard will need a place to gather to eat. Come grab a hammer and an adult to help! Program put on by Mr. Charles Ditata of Dartmouth. Uncles, step-dads, grandfathers and any special adult male in your little boy’s life is welcome to attend. Registration is required & closes Thursday November 18th at 8PM; space is limited so call or come into the library to sign up! While there is no age limit we ask parents to please be aware there will be tools and hammering at this event! Hope to see you there!
Grossology: hands-on gross learning!
YUCK!!!! Hey kids? Want to be super way totally grossed out?? Come to the library to learn all about GROSSOLOGY. Kids ages 4—13 welcome. Parents/Guardians welcome. We will be making fake: blood, barf, wounds and a fake sneeze! Come join in on really gross hands-on learning. No registration required.
No School Day Craft Time!
On Friday November 26, the day after Thanksgiving, there is no school! No need to worry – the library is open 9 – 5! From 10 – 12 & 2 -4 we will have drop in craft time for kids. There will be a few different types of crafts set up in the Elsie Haskell Auditorium, so please come prepared to stay with your child during the programs. You can come for 5 minutes to do one craft or for as long as you like to do the crafts that are available! No registration necessary.
Story Times
We offer Preschool Story time for children ages 3 -5 on Monday & Thursday mornings at 10AM. On Tuesday & Wednesday mornings there is a Wee Read programs for babies & toddlers up to age 3. On Thursday evenings there is a Pajama Story time for all ages up to age 6. No Registration required. Story times will break the week of December 9th for the Holiday Season.
