We are pleased to announce that Dartmouth Community Television will begin a
new program called “Family Focus,” which will be hosted by Kevin Lee, Youth Advocate. Family Focus will explore some of the joys and challenges of running a household, raising children and living within our community here in Dartmouth. Several segments have been recorded already, with plans to move from the pilot stage into the regular cablecast schedule on DCTV over the next few weeks.
Family Focus will cover topics related to family health, safety, parenting, family recreation and where to find local resources and information accordingly. Guests include leaders within their fields of expertise, area artisans, student leaders, local business people, public officials and residents of all ages. In addition, links and contact information related to each show will be listed on the Town of Dartmouth’s Web site, under Dartmouth Community Television, which can be accessed by anyone long after the segment has aired. We welcome your suggestions as well.
One feature that we plan to add is a “town crier,” who will announce local attractions and upcoming family events suitable for entire families and family members within Dartmouth. If you have a son or daughter with a clear speaking voice who might like to be part of the “town crier” segment, which includes being videotaped, please get in touch with us.
